Auto archiving sent items

Outlook General >> Auto archiving sent items

I am using Microsoft Outlook 97 and my sent items or forwarded items in various folders (I file them with their originating message) will not auto archive. I have all of my autoarchive folders set up perfectly and all received emails auto archive daily. Any emails though that I have sent or forwarded are still left sitting in the folders after autoarchive has done its work, I have some files sitting there over 12 months old. Most of my folders are set up to archive older than three months, is there something I need to do or am not doing or is it a function of Outlook 97?

Outlook General >> Auto archiving sent items Check the Last Modified date on the items that aren't being archived as you
think they should. That's the date Outlook uses to determine whether or not
an item is ready to be AutoArchived, and a simple action such as moving the
item to another folder can change the Last Modified date. More information
