Internet Explorer / IE >> Can't open .PDF files from IE 6.0?

Hello,

We had some connection issues yesterday with our DSL dial-up. In the
process of going thru some incorrect 'fixes' with tech. support, we may have
changed some settings in IE that cause the 'Send Error Report' window to pop
up whenever we try to open a PDF file from a website. We can still open
PDF's from our hard drive with no issues. What might be some things I could
look into that might be the cause of this browser-crashing behavior (which
just started yesterday)??

Thanks.

Internet Explorer / IE >> Can't open .PDF files from IE 6.0? Hi,
See: Troubleshooting PDF Problems
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/ie/pdf.htm

Also consider having PDFs open in Adobe Reader rather than in Internet
Explorer.
From Adobe Reader> Edit> Preferences> Internet> uncheck "Display PDF in
browser."

You might also try Foxit Reader (freeware) from
http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php It generally opens much faster
than Adobe Reaser.

Hope this helps,
