MediaPlayer >> WMP 11 online video viewing

When in My Space trying to view MySpaceVideoCode videos it just keeps
replaying the same Yahoo Music video. It doesn't matter who's profile I am
viewing. I am sure it is not the code in their profile since it is the same
code I had in mine before my hard drive crashed and after. I have updated WMP
with all updates and it is not fixed. Anyone have
any ideas.

Sure - Myspace doesn't offer windows media - or any other kind of
video than Flash video files. So I'd be considering deleting temporary
internet files in your browser, and seeing if Flash will pick up the
new videos as you view them

MediaPlayer >> WMP 11 online video viewing After reading another thread, I wonder if this has anything to do with IE 7?
Does anyone suppose this?

Are you using the embedded WMP or Flash player? (You can embed WMP in
myspace, IIRC - some people use the DX transforms against it and it all can
look pretty cool.)

Given what you're saying, you should go to the Adobe support forums.

MediaPlayer >> WMP 11 online video viewing If you mean what I think you mean it is embedded. If you look at my profile,
(myspace.com/engbuster) then you will know more. Again, I haven't done
anything wo WMP on my computer other than update it to WMP 11. My HD crashed
and when it was reloaded it was reloaded to Toshiba's original disk. To my
knowledge nothing was done to it prior to crashing other than updating to WMA
11. Friends say they can see the videos but a few also have the same problems
viewing it also. And IE7 is not the common browser among those who can't view
it.

Yep, thanks - this is exactly exactly the missing piece of information that
was confusing us.

OK, right, you're definitely using WMP here. The filename URL there is
http://www.myspacevideocode.com/playlist.php?uname=LFR623
which is broken - it needs a MIME type in that return and that's <ASX
VERSION="3.0"> not 1.0.

But that's bad but not too bad - the bad part is that all your returned
Yahoo links are dead other than that I guess. Maybe they're blocking this
scenario now? You may need to use a different provider other than
myspacevideocode here - I bet they're broken right now based upon the data
you've provided.

This next URL will probably freak out your news reader, but it's one of the
URLs from the above ASX, and it returns empty (no content at all) data,
which is probably 3/4 of the reason none of this works. This seems to
confirm that the data being provided by myspacevideocode here isn't useful
and you should go chat with them. It's not a problem with WMP - there's
simply nothing for WMP to do when it's not given any data. Presumably it's
only getting Yahoo ads from the big list of files. =\
