Media Center >> What's quickest/easiest way to put dvr-ms files on PocketPC
Hi,
I have a ViewSonic V37 PocketPC running the 2002 PPC OS.
The "Sync to Device" does not recognize the PocketPC.
Is there some other program I can get that will take a 7 GB HD (1 hour)
recording and re-compress it so that it will fit on a 512MB SD card in
the PocketPC?

The quickest way is to go get a new PPC with Pocket MP10 on it. That's the
reason the sync to device isn't working.
There is no real easy way that I know of because there is precious little
that works directly with dvr-ms files. Once you use on of the many options
to turn the dvr-ms into something normal, wmv, mpg, etc. then there are a
host of things that will let you compress the video. Try http://www.thegreenbutton.com/ for the first part, and the free Windows
Media Encoder can help on the second.
