Publisher >> Question about images in 2 column layout

Hello, in my 2 column layout on 8.5x11 paper I am inserting images that fit
perfectly into my columns. I have text above and below these images. What I
want to do consistantly is have the text come down to within say .125 inches
and then begin again .125 inches below the image. However, I often insert
small 8 point font below some images given credit to the owner of that image.
I would like everything to line up properly wherever I do this. Any
suggestions folks. I am using Publisher 2003. Thanks in advance.

Publisher >> Question about images in 2 column layout Right-click the picture, format picture, layout tab, square wrapping style,
clear Automatic, type .125 top and bottom. You may have to type .13...

You'd be better off creating a new text box for the credit, give it no wrap and
maybe zero margins.

Publisher >> Question about images in 2 column layout Hi Mary, I was thinking of just that (creating a text box). Lets say I do
that and flush it up against the bottom of the image. I presume I'll have to
set that text boxes margins to .125? Thanks again Mary.

Phil.

Publisher >> Question about images in 2 column layout The new text box will fit in the .125 space you created under the picture. If
you give the new text box no wrap and no margins (format text box) you shouldn't
have to do anything else.

Another option, beside the fine suggestions from Mary, might be to put
your credit lines vertically along the side of the photo, or even
within the photo (across the bottom, or up the side) in a contrasting
color or white. I do this occasionally where I don't want to do the
standard/boring below the photo cut line.
