I'm having a ton of problems with my computer, and the
tech said it's probably years of corrupted files in win98
or office 2000. i'm getting a new computer for my office,
but want to know if there's a way to scan for corrupted
files so i can give this unit to the kids. if you can

If its 'years' now might be a good idea for a clean install

Try SFC /SCANNOW in start run.
