This may be a known problem, but when using WDS (v2.06.5000.5401) to search for Outlook (2003 in my case) Journal Items, it picks up on the last modified date/time and not the start date/time. This is an error, IMO, as the start date/time and duration are the pertinent info for Journal Items. Searching Journal Items by modified time might be a useful option, but it's not the primary information of interest when it comes to Journal Items.

Even if the WDS team doesn't consider it an error, there shoud at least be the option to search and sort Journal Items found by their start time.

Thx! -- dgg

Hello dgg,

You make an excellent point. I agree that, when searching Journal items, the start date is of primary interest. Unfortunately, when searching the index, WDS doesn't change how it searches based upon the type of item in the index.

There are, however, some ways that we could address this issue (for example the way we build the index) so I've passed your suggestion on to the team for consideration and prioritization.

Thanks for your feedback.

Thanks...that's all anyone could ask for!
