Visual Basic >> Installing VB6 side-by-side other VS prods

Hopefully someone can definitively answer this.

My dev machine has VS C++ 6.0, VS.NET 2K3, and VS.NET 2K5. All is well.

Now I need to examine lots of old VB 6.0 code.

1. Can VB6.0 live side-by-side all of these studios?

2. Can I install VB6.0 right now (after having installed all of the
other studios)? I ask this because I had a problem installing VS C++
6.0 after VS.NET. I had to rebuild the machine and install the studios
in release order to remedy my problem.

If it matters, I'm on WinXP.

Thanks
Gary

Even though most people ask about installing dotNet on top of VB6, there
shouldn't be any real issues. If you were installing VS6 (and not just VB),
I'd say your C project file associations and maybe a few others) would get
messed up... but since VB6 doesn't share extensions with any dotNet
extensions, you should be Ok.... especially if "examination" is all you
want.

Note that VS/VB6 doesn't recognize any MSDN help newer than 10/01 so, if you
have that, you can install it and it won't mess up the VSNet help.
Otherwise, your only "help"
option is the MSDN website (not fun).

Yes, AFAIK. I have all of the above on my main development machine.
