win2000 >> Exchange server reporting as master browser

Greetings,

I'm running a W2k domain with a single dc and several
member servers. My exchange 5.5 server is not a dc but in
several machine's event logs there is a message reporting
that the machine could not get an update from the master
browser & it lists the exchange server's name (as the
master browser). Some of them also report that since they
have been unable to get an updated list for so long
they're gonna stop attempting.

The ADUC & DNS records don't list the exchange server as a
DC--- what should I check?

Thanks for the help!

Windows OS153

win2000 >> Exchange server reporting as master browser Turn off the Computer Browser service on the Exchange server and it will no
longer attempt to become a master browser.
