PortalServer >> REPOST Change Navigation bar items
Hi,
Is it possible to change the contents of Top navigation
bar ?
By creating a new site (for the first time in my life) I
see that the navigation bar has the following items:
-Home
-Documents and lists
-Create
-Site settings
-Help
I want to add and delete some items here, but I don't know
how ?
In the help-file I read something like:
1. On the title bar of the portal site, click Site
Settings.
2. In the Manage Portal Content section, click Manage
Portal Site Structure.
If I look at the Site Settings I do not see a topic
called "Manage Portal Content" !!!
What should I do ???
I had also some comments that I could change the site itself with Frontpage. But 2 questions here:
1. What site is that Navigation bar on ?
2. Is it possible to change those sites ? Is it not so that the sites are stored in the SQL Server database ? If that is the case, how can I change it ?

The new frontpages works superb with SPS and WSS. It connects to the Site (file > open site > http://siteurl/sites/blabal) and then you can edit the whole page, including adding new webparts etc etc. An exelent tool imho. And of course you can edit the top bar :) There is a link "add link here" in the top balk if you edit in frontpage

the limitation of Fp2003 is that i can only amend one page by one.

one site by one you mean? I did it one time (wss site) and made that site a template. Now every new project uses the same template
