How do I get my printer to reset to default printer?

MS Word Doc >> How do I get my printer to reset to default printer?

When I print to another source my word document does not reset back to the
default printer. This happens whether I'm printing or converting a word doc
to pdf. How do I get Word to go back to the default printer. This does not
happen in Excel. I am using Word 2003.
