Hi All,

We are not using Biztalk based service logic but IDM is connecting to ESSO and ESSO internally uses Biztalk Database.

We installed CSF components on different servers like CSF Identity Manager is on SERVER1 machine, CSF/BizTalk Server DB on SERVER3 and BizTalk Server Runtime on SERVER4, while configuring BizTalk Server components we are using active directory users installed on SERVER1 machine. We are able to successfully configure BizTalk server components like ESSO, Runtime and Groups on BizTalk Server SERVER3. There was error of BizTalk Server authentication failure to access SQL db on SERVER3 but we are able to solve that error by giving those active directory user rights to particular DBs like BizMgmtDB, BizMessageBoxDB etc, but we are still getting this error on CSF Identity Manager Box( SERVER1). Please find respective error/warnings on different CSF Component Boxes. Please also find the trace files as an attachment.

Hi Sanjay,

Thanks for your note - here is our analysis of the issue based on the information above:

(1) Question - we would like to know if the EntSSO 3.0 installer that was packaged with the CSF 3.0 installation was used, or if the EntSSO installation came from the BizTalk distribution. If it was the later, then might be an issue - we were expecting that the EntSSO 3.0 installer that is bundled with the CSF 3.0 would be used, and installed according to the Deployment Guide.

(2) Please note that we expect EntSS0 3.0 to be installed on the same server as the CSF Identity Manager component.

(3) Diagnoistics - one way to check if the CSF Identity Manager component and SSO are working correctly in to log on to the server that the CSF Identity Manager is installed on, using the credentials that the OHSBE uses (usually OHSBE-Service). On this machine, issue the following command using the cmd prompt: ssomanage -listmappings <application name> where <application name> is the value of the UDDI BindingKey that the OssClient has in UDDI.

(4) Diagnostics - could you send us the WSE input and output trace files for the CSF Identity Manager component when this condition occurs These would help us to diagnose the situation.

Many Thanks, Sanjay!!!

-Rob.

Hi SanGupta,

I would know how you have solved the issue. I'm in the same case.

Identity Manager calls GetCredentials method (Biztalk SSO) but gets an unauthorized exception. (with your same log)

I'm suspectiong that 'impersonate' contex don't works well, because in SSO target machine

we find 'Client User' empty:
