Windows XP Support >> Winmm.dll link library problem on XP pro

Hi, I own a sony vaio desktop computer and I work under Windows XP and I'm
getting a error on startup, the title of the pop up is "explorer.exe" and the
message is "The procedure entry point mciSendCommandA could not be located in
the dynamic link library winmm.dll"

I've tried to restore (with msconfig) the file (winmm.dl_) from the XP
Instalation Cd but I still get the same message. The message not appear only
when I log on, it cames many time during my session. Also the same message
apear with the title "syslw.exe"

I hope somebody will be able to help me!
Thanks.
